Leontios Toumpouris

Leontios Toumpouris’ practice exists between language in different modes, alchemical discourse, painting and making as a learning tool. Through fiction and interdependence, his work is configured in sculptures, site-responsive installations alongside text, sound and performative gestures. Aiming to create circumstances of shared agency and initiate dialogue, Toumpouris works with organisations to produce projects and events that encompass talks, screenings and workshops.

Leontios Toumpouris is a visual artist currently based between Glasgow and Nicosia. In 2016 he graduated from Glasgow School of Art’s MLitt Sculpture and from the Painting department of Athens School of Fine Arts in 2009.
